#SYMPHONYX CHAT
Welcome to the official Symphony X chat channel page, the place where you can talk in realtime with other Symphony X fans worldwide. We also have official band chat sessions set up sometimes so you can talk with the band members.
Guidelines and rules for the chat channel
- Because this is the Official Symphony X irc channel, and out of respect for the band, any conversation regarding Symphony X bootlegs or other unofficial releases is strictly prohibited.
- Please don't type everything in capital letters - IT IS PERCEIVED AS SHOUTING!
- Please do not type with colors even if you know how to do that
- If you can't behave well, you will be kicked out of the chat and possibly be banned from it for the future too
- If it seems that nobody is talking when you join, wait a bit and there will surely be some talking soon
- If you have a problem or any question, contact the channel manager at mail@symphonyx.com or an operator in the chat (the ones with @ in front of their nickname)
Connecting to the chat
Option 1 (very easy) - Use the Java chat client in top of this page by clicking the "Click here to join the chat!" box. You will be asked for a nickname and after you have typed the nickname, you will be connected to the chatroom.
IMPORTANT: You have to give the Java applet the permission to run, press "Yes" when your browser asks about a security certificate, it's totally safe.
Option 2 - Use an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client program to connect. If you don't have one, get mIRC for Windows from http://www.mirc.com or Ircle for Mac from http://www.ircle.com. If you have mIRC installed, click here to join the chat.
